🏃 Looking Ahead: Patriots' Day & School Vacation Week

Patriots' Day is Monday, April 20. Town offices are closed. Schools are out April 20–24 for April Vacation.

🎽 The 130th Boston Marathon is Monday, April 20. Here are two spots to see it all not that far from home.

Wellesley (Mile ~13): Try the "Scream Tunnel" along Central Street, where Wellesley College students cheer nonstop as runners pass. For a slightly calmer experience, Hunnewell Park is a great overall view, and wide, straight Washington Street in Wellesley Hills is a great place, too.

Newton (Miles 17–21): The Newton hills are a change from the downhill trend of the first half of the course, and they appear at a time when runners may 'hit the wall' — the trial culminating in the appropriately named Heartbreak Hill.

🎪 School Vacation Week Events: April 20–24 — bookmark them now!

🎩 Mr. Magic Show at Trillium Canton. Interactive, high-energy magic show for families. 4/22, Noon–1PM.

The Library, as always, has great picks for vacay week. OR, you can check out the passes to local museums & more.

🎨 Graffiti Lettering for Teens at the Library. Tags, throws, and pieces — learn the basics. Main Library, Teen Space. 4/22, 5:30–6:30PM.

🎹 Music with Michael at the Library. A musical adventure with pianist Michael Leidig. Main Library, Piano Space. 4/22, 6:30–7:30PM.
