🏛️ Dedham wants your take on the town's buildings: The Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee is collecting feedback on early options for renovating, rebuilding, or maintaining town facilities. About 40 people came to the 10/7 forum in person and 20+ joined online. The quick Menti survey is open through 10/23. Want the building-by-building needs first? Start here. Or review the forum slides.
🛣️ Help shape the future of East Street: The Planning Board is looking for residents, students, business owners, and property owners to join the East Street Corridor Plan Advisory Committee. It will help map out the southern stretch of East Street, from the Endicott rotary to Route 128/I-95. Expect about five weekday-evening meetings between late 2026 and summer 2027. Applications are due Friday, 10/16 by 1PM. Send a letter or resume to [email protected]. Learn more.
🎸 Musicians wanted: Dedham Square Circle is taking applications for the 2026–2027 Winter & Spring Dedham Farmers Markets. Deadline is Friday, 10/16. Apply here. Winter markets are Saturdays, 11/14, 12/12, 1/23, 2/20 and 3/20, from 10AM–1PM. Spring markets run every other Saturday, 4/3 through 6/12.
🪖 A $7,000 typo, carved in granite, somewhere in Dedham: Stuart Christie walks through the town’s war memorials — French and Indian War to Desert Storm, who got remembered and who didn’t, and where that typo is hiding. Tuesday, 10/20, 6:30PM, Main Library. Registration required.
💧 Irrigation meter reads are due 10/21. Have a second (irrigation) water meter? Submit your read by 10/21 to get your credit on the November utility bill. Use the town's online form only (older forms and emails won't be accepted), and sewer users need to upload a photo of the meter.
🐮 Dedham Day is on the calendar for Saturday, 11/7 (rain date 11/8) at Barnes Memorial Park. Grab your Cow Plop deeds here.
