🎭 DHS THEATRE ADVANCES TO SEMI-FINALS. Big congrats to the cast and crew of Dedham High's production of Poor Clare — they are moving on to the Semi-Final round of the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild's annual one-act play festival. They earned 6 All-Star Company Awards for costume design, dramaturgy, set design, acting, and scene partnership.

⚠️ WARRANT DEADLINE THIS WEEK. Friday, March 13 is the last day to submit articles for the 2026 Spring Annual Town Meeting warrant. Articles can be submitted by any 10 voters, any elected officer, or any appointed board. If there's something your neighborhood wants voted on — now is the time. Contact the Select Board office at Town Hall.

💰 BUDGET SEASON IS IN FULL SWING. The Finance & Warrant Committee holds All-Day Budget Hearings on Saturday, March 7 (8:30AM at Town Hall) — when department heads make the case for FY27 funding. A follow-up evening session is Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30PM. Both are public and hybrid (in-person + Zoom). This is how your tax dollars get prioritized — worth knowing about.

🏗️ TOWN GREEN PAVILION: BACK ON TRACK. After weather delays and a manufacturer error (which the town was not charged for!), new fabricated posts for the green’s pavilion are getting installed. It’s expected to wrap up by mid-April and on budget. This project has been funded by taxpayer funds, grants, and community donations.

🚗 $300,000 FOR ROAD SAFETY. Dedham has been awarded a $300,000 federal grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program. The funding will support road safety audits, a speed management plan, and a vulnerable road user priority network as outlined in the town's Local Roads Safety Plan (LRSP). A public education program is also part of the package.
